Fume Cupboard Controllers

A fully integrated 'all in one' controller system which offers three options: VAV, CAV and Ecosash in the one unit. Now with full BMS integration: Modbus/BACnet MSTP with monitoring and sash control.

Fume cupboard controllers allow the operator to manage their laboratory fume cupboards with ease. Fully compliant with ASNZS2243.8 (2014).

Aircare provides two types of fume cupboard controllers to meet the needs of any modern laboratory. These are the EcoAir IV (VAV) controller, and the Constant Air Volume (CAV) controller.

Variable Air Volume (VAV) Controller

A fume cupboard with an EcoAir IV Controller is a variable air volume (VAV) system. The Controller monitors the sash position and continually adjusts the fan speed to maintain a constant face velocity as the sash height changes. The EcoAir IV Controller thereby saves energy and improves HVAC efficiency by exhausting less conditioned air from the laboratory.

Constant Air Volume (CAV) Controller

The fixed volume (CAV) Controller provides state-of the-art fume cupboard management: A remarkable capability of the fixed volume controller is that it can manage as many as four separate fume cupboards if the four use a single exhaust manifold.

Available with Ecosash automatic sash closing for improved safety.

Ecosash® only with PIR sensor

EcoSash is an innovative device that dramatically improves the energy saving capability of a variable air volume (VAV) fume cupboard.

Can be retrofitted to existing VAV fume cupboards without closers.
With the Ecosash system, VAV energy savings are maximised to their full potential.
Pays for itself in energy saving in approximately 18 months.

Retrofitting Fume Cupboard Controllers

Both the CAV and VAV controllers represent the latest in modern laboratory equipment. If your laboratory fume cupboards are older, keep in mind that Aircare can retrofit new controllers and bring them up to code.
